Everglades National Park

Other Fish Species

This prehistoric looking creature is a sawfish and is testament to the biodiversity found in the Everglades.

Fishing here in The Everglades National Park and Ten Thousand Islands one thing is for sure, you will catch something! It is not uncommon to catch over a dozen different species of fish in a single day.

If your looking for something to pull hard we have plenty of sharks in the area ready and willing to cooperate. Bull, lemons, tigers, blacktips and bonnetheads are very common here.

Permit, cobia, pompano, triple tail and grouper can also be targeted in our coastal waters. Black drum, sheepshead, mangrove snappers, and whitting are often found around the oyster bars and deep holes.
