My name is Captain Dave Prickett and I've been fishing the waters of Everglades National Park for most of my life. I have been guiding here professionally for over 20 years and I also make the Everglades my home - here on Chokoloskee, a small 150 acre island nestled in the heart of the 10,000 Islands.
Fishing in Everglades National Park and 10,000 Islands is sure to be one trip you will not soon forget.
Most of the fishing here is in brackish or saltwater using light tackle - plug casting, live baiting and fly fishing are all popular here. Many game fish species inhabit the mangrove shorelines. Snook, tarpon, redfish and trout are just a few of the many species you will encounter in the Everglades.
A day spent on the water is more than just fishing. There are many endangered and rare species plants and animals that inhabit the Everglades. Be sure to bring your camera.
My Boat is docked at the Outdoor Resorts, Marina and RV Park - a first class facility with motel rooms for your convenience. So when your ready to book your next trip in to the Everglades give me a call (239-695-2286), or email me and I will be happy to get you all set up.
